Hire a publicist: Why you should not be handling your own PR

Posted by EOTM Admin on August 21, 2012 at 11:55 PM Comments comments (0)

As a publicist, I speak with a lot of entertainers and business owners managing their own public relations. I read tons of the articles and press releases they write for themselves, and see firsthand how journalists/editors... and the like… DONOT respond to them and or toss their emails in a spam/junk folder and delete your half listened voice message….which is not always a whole lot different than how they treat publicists.

It’s all a constant networking opportunity….right?

Looking back at some of my beginning efforts, I must have appeared like apoor consultant instead of an entrepreneur who owned a business. I soon learnedthe hits and misses of the tricky industry and how extremely important, PR outreachis for building personal brands, especially considering third-partyendorsements weigh much more than self-promotion. What other people say aboutyour brand, especially large media outlets and influential people, can have astrong impact on how people perceive you in your industry. You can also drivetraffic to your website and increase your site’s authority in search engineswith good PR.

EOTM PR has an in-depth understanding of social media & branding with just the right amount of expertise to launch and complete your next online campaign, successfully.

We offer a wide range of social media PR packages to suit your budget and business requirements. Contact EOTM today and request your free confidential pr and marketing analyst - @213-290-3573 or email pr@eotmradio.com.

Resonating the Law of Attraction via Social Media

Posted by EOTM Admin on July 4, 2012 at 11:45 PM Comments comments (0)

I enjoy getting to know the people I meet via social media because it gives me the opportunity to expand my circle of friends and business associates.

I believe that you can never have too many good people in yourlife, however; I believe having one pessimist, “spiritual vampires” as I call them…in your life is way too many. I INVITE anyone who has a POSITIVE outlook on life to connect with me and hopefully we can add some degree of value to each other’s life. All others….well…YOU gets deleted….TONIGHT!

PR Tip #321 via the Twitter Publicist

Posted by EOTM Admin on March 2, 2012 at 2:15 AM Comments comments (0)

My best PR tip: One of the best pieces of advice in PR and getting noticed is to send your info/product/ideas to the CEO of a company via Fed X.

Why?

It gets noticed! Whether it's a big company where your package is logged in,or a small firm--overnight deliveries make a bigger impact to decision makers. They cause a second look! Then,it's up to you to follow up.

If I ever need to make a splash,I send materials Fed X. And fun ones! Ever send a pineapple? People are intrigued and chances are you will be remembered!

FREE Cyber Monday PR tip on using Twitter effectively

Posted by EOTM Admin on November 27, 2011 at 11:45 PM Comments comments (0)

It's CYBER Monday and I am giving away FREE info...again! This PR tip is specifically for all my newbie twitter users  - be sure to share this pr tip if you find it helpful.

1. Create a Twitter account. You'll need to pick a username that tells followers what your company is. It could be your company name (the most popular option) or a short tag line. Personalize your page with your company logo and a custom background that matches your brand image. Treat your Twitter page as you would treat your website--it's just as important to have branding here.

 2. Post your first tweet. It doesn't have to be epiphany inducing, just something that says "We're here and we want to hear what our customers have to say." But keep your brand in mind while tweeting. Don't start off with a super serious tone if your brand image is friendly and fun. But don't try to be too clever if you're a serious-minded business either. Twitter should be casual without being too familiar.

3. Pick some people to follow. You might want to follow anyone from competitors to suppliers to sellers and even individuals who are fans of your company. You can search for these people and see who's talking about you and what they are saying. Twitter can also help you keep up to date on industry news and trends.

4. Step up the interaction. If someone tweets something about your company that you like, you can retweet it so that all of your followers can see it, too. If someone has a question or complaint, you can respond directly to him. And don't forget to use Twitter to toot your own horn. Tweet about product launches, events or even special offers for Twitter followers.

5. Measure your results. Once you have been successfully utilizing your Twitter account for a few months, you should see an increase in your follower counts and the amount of retweets and mentions your company gets. These are good measurement tools, because you know that counts are accurate and you can see exactly what was said and by whom. Looking through your followers will also give you a good idea if your target market is on aim.

Hope this helps! If you like this pr and marketing tip be sure to follow us on twitter @eotmpr.

Media Relations & PR NOT interchangeable

Posted by EOTM Admin on October 21, 2011 at 11:50 AM Comments comments (0)

Many people use the terms public relations and media relations interchangeably; however, doing so is incorrect. Media relations refer to the relationship that a company or organization develops with journalists, while public relations extend that relationship beyond the media to the general public.

Hope this helps!
